We are excited to announce our Mid-Summer Open Studio Session: a dedicated open studio session between our Summer and Fall Sessions!

Mid-Summer Open Studio Session runs from Wednesday August 5 to Sunday, September 6, 2026

Participants will pay a flat rate of $350 for the session and can attend as much Open Studio time as they like.

This time between the summer and fall sessions is an ideal time to continue work from previous sessions, explore techniques, play, make gifts, or give yourself a creative staycation!

Mid-Summer Open Studio Session is currently open to:

• those who have previously taken classes at Black Hound Clay Studio (either location)

• those currently on the waitlist for Black Hound Membership (either location)

Our hours for Open Studio are Wednesday through Friday from 12 - 9 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 12 - 5 pm. Upon registration, you choose handbuilding or wheel. Enrollment is limited  to ensure everyone is guaranteed a wheel or handbuilding space.

The registration price includes 25 pounds of clay, firings, and the use of all equipment, tools, and our studio glazes. During this session, an additional 25 pounds of clay may be purchased through our online store.

Open studios are monitored by BHCS staff, who can answer basic questions and ensure you use the equipment and tools safely and correctly.
